- We are now members of the American Federation Mineralogical Societies (AFMS) & the Southeast Federation Mineralogical Societies (SFMS). We were welcomed by Danny Griffin (President of the SFMS) and he will try to attend our January meeting. We have access to insurance for meeting places & events, and also are invited to attend XXX events and can go their workshop (great, inexpensive vacation related to lapidary and working…)
- Tuscon is around the corner. If people are going to attend, let the group know so we can rally there.
- See if any members present are still missing their Meteorite Men Packages.
- Call for volunteers for December show. See if Anita/Wayne can secure our table.
- Ask if members have any auction items. Call for January meeting to have a big auction to rebuild coffers.
Treasurer: Wayne reported on the AFMS meeting and gave the treasurer's report ($1809).
Member Reports:
Dave Gheesling: Dave G. has invited Rob Wesel and Mike Bandli to speek at our January meeting and brought a Chelyabinsk map, Created by Svend Buhl, for the group to view.
Adjourn for Swap Meet: ~2:00 pm - Members brought meteorites or tektites that they wanted to sell or trade to our annual MAG swapmeet. This is a great way to sell or trade off those duplicate locations and help other MAG members expand their collections.
